Grinch Makeup

Here's a video I put together of the process in applying a Grinch makeup. I made it for anyone who might want a better idea of what I do for a living. The application took about 70 minutes, but I've sped it up to 10. And just for some extra zest I've added some music from Kill Bill.

This is my job.

Grinchmas is finally finally done. And to unwind I've spent the evening editing some videos I shot on my camera to pass the time. I'm no director or editor or anything, but I'm pretty happy with them.

Christmas Carol

Back when I was in college I fell in love with voiceover acting, and founded a short lived company called MacDuff Entertainment. For my first production I directed (and performed in) an audio theater production of "A Christmas Carol," which I wrote to serve as a bridge between acting and storytelling. Think of it is an audio book with a full cast and musical score. I've always loved that story, and the production remains one of my proudest accomplishments. Sadly it went nowhere for years until I finally decided to spread it across the web.

"A Christmas Carol" is available at amazon.com, as well as at Napster and many other locations. Have a listen, there are free samples of all of the tracks. I just sold my first copy last week. Extra points to anyone who can tell which two characters I play :)

This aired on an Alaskan news channel as Palin did the yearly "pardon a turkey" thing that all politicials seem to do. Check out the guy in the background.

Does the term "dodged a bullet" mean anything to you?

Last time

Okay guys, this is the last time I'm going to harp on this. There are only a few hours left.

GET OUT AND VOTE!!!

Seriously, vote for Obama. Vote for McCain. Vote for a third party. JUST VOTE.

Think of our soldiers throughout history (as well as today) who have DIED to protect your right to vote. Think about all of the people in the world who are not granted this amazing freedom. To stand up and personally help to shape our country, a country that has strayed from its path but still has the potential to be the greatest nation in the world.

Think your vote doesn't count? BULLSHIT. Give this a watch.

Your time is almost gone. You have a decision to make. Be a part of the most historic election in our country's history, or sit back and watch the world pass you by. Just remember this: Deciding not to vote is simply deciding not to decide, and to let others decide for you.

The choice is yours.

This is so awesome it hurts.

Well, if you have Time Warner Cable and you live in LA (possibly elsewhere) you can see it for free! I found it when I was surfing the free movies on On Demand. On your cable box, just follow along:

On Demand > Movies > Free Movies > FEARnet > Midnight Meat Train

I know a lot of folks were upset that it had such a shitty theatrical run, so I'm happy to bring it to you. Be sure to look for me in the credits :)
